In the Primary years at Chirec Public School, the internationally benchmarked LEAD curriculum is adopted in addition to the state board curriculum and books to provide meaningful learning experiences. We focus on building 5 key skills: Conceptual Understanding, Thinking Skills, Collaboration, Communication, and Exposure. Our curriculum is designed to nurture holistic development, ensuring students grow into well-rounded individuals ready to explore the world around them.
Holistic Academic Foundation
We move beyond rote memorization to deep conceptual understanding.
- English: English is taught as a skill based on student level rather than grade, ensuring accelerated reading and comprehension.
- Maths & Science: Concepts are connected to real-life applications using the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) and Learning by Doing (LBD) approaches.
- Environmental & Social Studies: EVS is taught till grade 2, Social Science is introduced in grade 3 onwards.
Exposure & Expression
Education at Chirec goes beyond the classroom to promote confidence and creativity through national-level exposure.
- Student Led Conferences (SLC): Students present their learning to parents, building immense public speaking confidence.
- National Competitions: Opportunities like the LEAD Championships provide a platform for students to compete and shine on a national stage.
- Coding & Computation: Computer science is integrated early to build logical thinking and digital literacy.
